The Role

Gonville & Caius College is seeking a Fellowship Administrator to work in the Master’s Office. 

The post holder will assist the Executive Assistant to the Master & Registrary, and sometimes the Master or Registrary directly, with day-to-day administrative tasks arising from the running of a large Cambridge college. 

Their focus will be on Fellowship administration such as maintaining records, drafting documents, updating lists and responding to enquires. They will support the annual Research Fellowship Competition and collaborate with the HR department and Tutorial office in the arrangements for other Fellowship and academic recruitment. 

They will assist in the Executive Assistant to the Master & Registrary in organising documentation for meetings, including the drafting and proof-reading of papers and preparation of pre-meeting notes. They will also support some College committees directly in the preparation of agendas and minutes, and the circulation of papers. 

Another part of their role will be to provide the administrative arrangements for some College events hosted by the Master and President including the sending of invitations and generation of attendee lists (and sometimes seating plans).

The hours of work are flexible; however, it is expected that once established they should be routinely adhered to. 

 

This is a part-time role (0.8 FTE). The hours of work are 30 hours per week

The annual full time equivalent salary for this role is £30,972 (pro-rated for part time, £24,777).
