Accommodative dysfunction can lead to symptoms such as eye fatigue, blurred vision, double vision and headaches, particularly during near work, which may be further aggravated by prolonged use of digital devices. Electronic devices like smartphones, eBooks, and computers are integral to young people’s life, used for school, gaming, social networking, reading, and watching movies. Consequently, their eyes are exposed for extended periods often at closer distances. Several interventions are available to alleviate the symptoms of digital eye strain. The aim of this project is to investigate the relative effectiveness of these strategies to inform best practice for eye care providers.
