This post is for a Lecturer in Journalism, full-time for 2 years. We are seeking candidates who can bring industry experience and knowledge for teaching and research across our growing portfolio of journalism modules and programmes. GCU is one of the leading educators of work-ready journalists, and one of the only double-accredited provider of journalism degrees in the UK. Our journalism graduates work across print, digital, broadcast and online and we are interested in hearing from candidates who can teach in one or more of these areas, including the use of industry-specific software for journalism. Alternatively, academic research on journalism that can integrate with our current offer will be considered.
Ideally, candidates will be able to demonstrate industry-experience alongside some higher education teaching experience and be prepared to contribute to a wide range of journalism modules from undergraduate to postgraduate programmes.
