Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a Head of Curriculum Design that will be based at The Roundhouse campus within Pride Park, with visits to other campuses when required. This is a fantastic brand new senior leadership role with the opportunity to make significant contribution to DCG’s curriculum strategy planning processes. The Opportunity
As Head of Curriculum Design, you’ll effectively collaborate with Assistant Principals and Curriculum Managers to support the design of the curriculum at Academy level including qualification choices, progression routes, delivery models and the integration of wider learning. You’ll ensure that students and apprentices engage with a curriculum that equips them with essential knowledge, skills and behaviours required for their next step. You’ll work alongside all curriculum areas across Derby College Group to drive forward their curriculum and meet stakeholder needs.

About You
To excel in this role, you’ll have a high level of interpersonal, motivational and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll have excellent knowledge of further education, a strong understanding of skills contribution expectations, and a thorough knowledge of inclusive education and diversity and belonging. You’ll bring a proactive mindset to problem solving with outstanding innovative abilities. It is essential that you’ll be educated to a degree level and possess an appropriate teaching qualification.
