OxSTaR (Oxford Simulation, Teaching and Research) centre is seeking to appoint a Simulation Technician to join our team to support technology enhanced learning across a wide range of healthcare disciplines. OxSTaR has an active teaching and research program and the technician plays a crucial role in providing day to day support for clinical skills and simulation training.
 
The technician will support the team to recreate clinical scenarios in the simulation room to closely resemble a realistic clinical setting, this will include role playing a patient which immerses the learners in the clinical scenario. Scenarios are recorded using a web-based audio-visual platform. The technician will also be involved in producing and editing education videos and supporting innovative ways to use emerging technologies within the simulation setting. A keen interest in technology is essential for this role along with an aptitude to troubleshoot IT challenges.
