We are recruiting a Technology Specialist (CNC machinist) within our precision manufacturing workshop. The technology specialist will assist in the recommission and upgrade of the current facilities which comprise of CNC plus manual milling and turning centres. This is a fixed term appointment ending on 30th of June 2026.
All part of the Medical Device Manufacture Centre (MDMC) consortium, a precision metal workshop is to be “refreshed” to deliver high quality precision metal work prototypes. This role will be at the forefront of medical device prototyping and would suit an individual who has worked in a precision engineering environment. It will give the appointee highly valuable experience working with medical technology companies as part of an innovation project.
Based in Wilson House TIME Hub (Tayside Innovation MedTech Ecosystem), beside Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe’s largest teaching hospitals, the School of Medicine provides outstanding medical education and training, supported by world class research facilities.
