Joining our skilled technical team, you’ll support the day-to-day operation of the teaching and learning facilities within the media lab. You’ll assist with the delivery of specialist digital printing, mounting, binding and traditional darkroom processes, providing guidance and advice to students and staff working within the lab area.
You’ll demonstrate technical techniques to students in one-to-one or small group settings, providing key support with academic activities to meet courses outcomes and user needs.
You’ll assist with the preparation of facilities, learning materials, equipment and consumables for students and staff to use and will also carry out basic and routine maintenance procedures to ensure all work areas are in a safe, orderly and hygienic condition.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll need practical experience of media print and publication processes, and a strong knowledge of associated digital and analogue equipment.
You’ll possess previous experience in demonstrating the use of equipment and technical processes to others and will be capable of trouble-shooting any technical issues that may arise.
Knowledge and understanding of all relevant Health and Safety legislation and its effective operational implementation is essential, along with the ability to use a range of methods, tools and equipment to achieve a safe and acceptable standard of work.
