In the Students' Union, our Student Voice team work with students to drive student issues, celebrate good practice and work with key stakeholders to co-create an outstanding student journey. This role is key to supporting and championing our student leaders to navigate the political landscape of the world around them, to be effective representatives and thought leaders in driving impactful change in the student experience at Bath, and wider society.
About the role
The Education Manager is responsible for ensuring that students views on their academic experience are effectively gathered through a range of engagement activities and mechanisms, including the oversight and development of the Academic Representation system. This role is responsible for supporting and empowering student officers, leaders and representatives to make positive changes to their educational experience, including provision of briefings, training, research and strategic support for students attending committees or other representative activities.
You will be an expert on educational matters for representatives and staff, providing insight and guidance on current issues, identifying emerging issues through networks and research, and ensuring the successful input of student voice across the University.
We are looking for someone with great knowledge and a keen interest about Higher Education issues and practise, with outstanding people and communications skills to lead our educational representational activities. This role requires someone with excellent personal organisational and project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise a heavy and varied workload. You will champion a 'student-led' approach and empower others to make positive change.
