Summary of the role

Are you passionate about revolutionizing mental healthcare for people with neurodiversity? Join PUREMIND, an EU funded study with a world leading team. We are seeking two postdoctoral fellows to join our team to work in the team to create the first Integrated Mental Healthcare Ecosystem (IMHE) that will transform the way we predict, identify, and prevent Mental Health Disorders (MHDs) in children, adolescents, and young adults with neurodiversity conditions. PUREMIND combines cutting-edge analytical modelling of dynamic systems with a cyber-physical context. This approach will consider the natural environment, genetics, gut-brain interactions, physical activities and MHD processes to create personalized intervention frameworks. An AI engine will be developed to classify, develop and deliver tailored agile interventions, using technologies in community settings, based on individual factors, lifestyle and surroundings.

Main purpose of the job:

This program of research will finalise product developments, and test these in both clinical and home environments. The post holders will work closely with the team throughout the program in developing and validating the IMHE (Intervention Model for Mental Health Enhancement). Collaborating with experts across disciplines, you’ll design implementation technology and strategies and participate in a 12-month pilot study spanning multiple European countries and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). You will  organise the overall trial protocols, modify the intervention and testing procedures and trial process including associated approvals/confirmations (e.g., ethics approval; research governance) and ensure consistent and robust governance throughout the study phases, to work closely with the research team, oversee protocol development and publication, adherence to trial protocols and governance across all international sites, oversee trial recruitment and retention, participant assessment and follow-up data entry and analysis and contribute to writing up of results and final reports.

Please note that travel to remote and difficult-to-reach areas will be a requirement of the role.
