About the role:

We are looking for a Research Associate to be the main lead on our new project on road safety impacts of Clean Air Zones in England. The project is funded by the Road Safety Trust and includes researchers from Imperial, the university of Westminster and Edinburgh Napier University.

What you would be doing:

You will be responsible for driving forward the main parts of this project. you will curate and collate data from existing sources for analysis of road safety impacts of Clean Air Zones. You will lead, plan and carry out high quality programme of research, undertake project management and supervise other colleagues and students. You will also be expected to submit publications to refereed journals, liaise with the funder, present findings to a range of audiences, and further related research into transport and health.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone with experience of working with routine data to evaluate impacts of interventions
  • A PhD degree in a related subject, or significant experience
  • Skills in project and data management (i.e., setting up studies, creating study materials, drafting papers and reports)
  • Experience of liaising with external organisations / facilitating meetings with collaborators, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the evolving needs of the study and team
  • Ability to organise and manage work tasks efficiently, especially in response to deadline

Further Information

This is a fixed term funded post, based at White City Campus and we would hope to involve the postholder in applying for further funding to extend this and related work.
