To meet our ambitious strategic aims, ULaw has embarked on a major transformation programme and is looking to recruit a Business Analyst  to join us on our journey. The role will be working remotely (from a UK location) on a fixed term contract until December 2025. 

The role sits within the Student Information System (SIS) project to implement Ellucian Banner. Working as part of a broader team and with the support of a Business Analyst and Subject Matter Expert, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a few project workstreams e.g. Admissions, Finance, Curriculum, Student Records, Assessments. 

To be successful in the role you will have significant experience in business transformation projects and change, shaping complex transformation projects end-to-end within the Higher Education sector.

As our Business Analyst you will be responsible for: 

  • Support gap fit requirements by individual meetings and workshops
  • Document ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes
  • Capture and track benefits
  • Design material that can be used for Communication and Training purposes
  • Work with the Business Architect to propose appropriate solutions
  • Produce Functional Design Specifications to ULaw standard
  • Support the UAT process by identifying whether issues raised are change requests and ensuring these are logged against the project

We are looking for people who are/have: 

  • Extensive Ellucian Banner knowledge is essential or equivalent experience of a University’s transformation programme. We would also consider candidates with SITS knowledge or experience within another sector leading system
  • Analysing and developing business systems' requirements and needs
  • Production of clear and detailed business process models and requirement specifications
  • Functional Design Specification
  • User Acceptance Scripts and Testing
  • Experience of working closely with end users to develop their use of complex, off-the-shelf software packages
