About the role:
We are looking for Team Leader to join our Community Learning Department at The Bedford College Group. As a Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students by:
Being responsible for organising and delivering three Prince’s Trust Teams per year
Leading the recruitment, induction, teambuilding, residential, community project activities
Liaising with agencies and employers to promote the Team programme.
Ensure that the criteria for the successful delivery of the Certificate in Employment Teamwork and Community Skills and other appropriate qualifications are met.
Taking responsibility for the health and safety of team members including undertaking risk assessments for project work and residential activity. To verify the suitability of placement hosts and residential venues in terms of quality of the provision and the adequacy of health and safety policies and procedures.
Conducting regular meetings for review, evaluation and assessment with the whole team and on an individual basis.
About you:
English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
Relevant Qualifications at level 3
Level 3 Award in Education and Teaching (or equivalent) or willingness to achieve
Knowledge and experience of quality assurance systems in Further Education
Experience of dealing with young people whose behaviour is challenging, and background unconventional
Ability to effectively lead and manage a team of professionals
Ability to consistently support a high-quality learning experience for all students
Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns.
