About the role
Bodleian Libraries seek to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled, and service-oriented person to provide administrative support for a group of busy libraries.
As part of the Social Sciences Group Administration Team, you will carry out work which includes: undertaking general, facilities, financial and staffing-related administrative tasks, maintaining records; sourcing and ordering supplies; dealing with a wide range of enquiries and requests.
This is a permanent, part-time post: working hours are 20 hours per week (0.5479 FTE) Monday to Friday. There is the opportunity for remote working: one shift per week (4 hours) could be worked from home.

About you
You will have relevant experience in administration, competency using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, etc.) databases and email. A proven ability to become proficient in new software packages is also essential.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially the ability to communicate effectively, confidently and courteously with managers, readers, colleagues and the public verbally and in writing. This includes the ability to interpret, apply and communicate regulations and procedures.
Willingness to learn and the ability to apply appropriate discretion when dealing with confidential information is also essential.
