The Department of Accounting and Finance is seeking to appoint a Professor in Accounting. As an acknowledged expert and leader; you will direct an internationally acclaimed research programme, oversee and deliver educational curricula, and provide academic leadership and contribute at a strategic level to the work of the University.

The Department provides an extensive range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research degrees and delivers outstanding student experience. Our UG Accounting Course is ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, and AIA accredited and our suite of PGT programmes are CFA affiliated. The department is also an Academic Partner of the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
With research interests consistent with the strategic direction of the Faculty. The postholder will have a sustained track record of published research in high-quality, peer-reviewed publications, demonstrating standards of excellence and a national and international reputation. They will have engaged in a range of knowledge exchange activities, including conference presentations and work with those beyond university settings. The postholder will be involved in sourcing potential funding opportunities and the development of proposals to secure research and knowledge exchange funding.
The successful candidate will be PhD qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and will have academic experience that allows them to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. There is also an expectation that the successful candidate will have a track record of publication and will contribute to the research culture within the department. They will have evidence of grant funding and knowledge exchange activity, and experience of supervising postgraduate research students.
The successful candidate will play a leading role in developing the research culture within the department and enhancing the departmental reputation in the discipline of accounting.

To lead individual and collaborative research activities, lead and secure research funding, take responsibility for knowledge exchange activities, and work alongside the Head of Department to drive forward the strategic growth of the department.
