Department Manager (672511)

The Department of Accounting and Finance is seeking to appoint a Department Manager to provide high level support across the department’s portfolio of teaching, research and knowledge exchange activities. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, ambitious professional to play a key role in the management and growth of the Department.

FTE: 1 (35 hours/week)

The Department Manager will provide management and leadership for professional services activities within the Department, ensuring operational excellence across the delivery of our portfolio of teaching, research and knowledge exchange activities. As a member of the Department Management Team, the Department Manager will contribute to departmental strategy, take a leading role in the implementation of this strategy, and ensure that the department has effective support in terms of resource and procedures. The postholder will work closely with the Head of Department (HoD) to manage and oversee budgets, deliver strategic projects, and drive forward process improvement.

The Department Manager will continue to develop the operational processes in the department to support the wider team to deliver on strategic aims.
