Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Institute of Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering (AME) at Coventry University, is the UK’s ‘First Faculty on the Factory Floor’, where you will have the opportunity to deliver innovation through teaching and training, research and business growth, supporting global challenges in sustainable and world-leading manufacturing.
As a Technician in Metrology you will work with latest in dimensional measurement equipment, supporting both undergraduate, postgraduate and industry focused teaching and project work. Further, will advance research by providing cutting edge measurements to partner research groups, such as structural integrity, digital manufacturing and laser processing.
Our Successful Candidate
Hold a degree or be qualified GNVQ Level 4 or equivalent discipline OR have significant and extensive relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience of providing technical support for laboratory-based teaching and calibrating, maintaining and updating equipment. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the laser laboratories and workshops, ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of their area of responsibility, undertaking routine duties as and when required.
