Project detail:
There is growing resistance to existing pesticides used for crop protection resulting in a growing demand for new formulation products. It is imperative that these new formulation products are also environmentally friendly.
The proposed project relates to the manufacturing process to be used for new formulation crop protection products in the form of a nanoemulsion. It will explore ways in which such products can be obtained through high shear mixing, how best to maintain product properties from laboratory (a few litres) to pilot scale (a few 10's of litres).
There will be the opportunity to employ a range of analytical techniques, use different process devcies and interactwith researchers from both within and outside the organisation.
Entry requirements:
Students should have or expect to achieve at least 2:1 in Chemical Engineering
English language requirements:
Applicants must meet the minimum English language requirements. Further details are available on the International website (http://www.lboro.ac.uk/international/applicants/english/).
