Role Overview
As the Head of REF Operations & Systems, you will be a key member of our Extended Leadership Team within RSSD, reporting to the Assistant Director of RSSD and collaborating with senior academic leaders across the University, including Professor Rachel O’Reilly, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research). You will co-chair the REF 2029 Professional Working Group, lead our REF Operations & Systems Team, and ensure our Research Information System (currently Pure) supports the University’s strategic goals.
Your leadership will be pivotal in supporting the University’s ambition to enhance research performance and effectively manage REF submissions. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, championing our REF strategy, overseeing impact timelines, managing compliance, and guiding the team to deliver high-quality support across the University’s five Colleges.
