Description
The Chester Medical School (CMS) is an exciting development at the University of Chester, which delivers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in clinical and biomedical sciences. Our new MBChB Graduate Entry Programme launched in September 2024 alongside a successful Physician Associate (PA) programme. We are actively recruiting suitably qualified and experienced staff to join our team.
We are seeking a suitably experienced Academic Lead in Medical Education to work in the Chester Medical School, teaching and supporting learning on the MBChB and PA programmes. Depending on experience and interests, the appointee will have direct responsibility for a key element of the MBChB programme, including assessment and the development and implementation of student selected components. The appointee will also be involved in curriculum development, quality monitoring and coordinating interprofessional educational activities with other staff.
You will be expected to actively promote medical education, undertake research/scholarly activities and represent the Chester Medical School externally as required. You will be a medical educator who has relevant previous experience of teaching and supporting medical students and/or doctors in training and research and who wants to further develop their leadership skills and expertise.
We encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants.
