The University of Manchester is making several strategic investments in Computer Science. 

We offer a Lectureship or Senior Lectureship in Cryptography at the Department of Computer Science. The appointment will further strengthen the research profile of the Systems and Software Security (S3) group at the University of Manchester.

We are looking for an outstanding researcher with a specialisation in cryptography that complements the department’s existing strengths. Ideal candidates will have expertise in quantum cryptography, post-quantum cryptography, cryptographic protocols, zero knowledge, or other emerging areas in theoretical and applied cryptography. A strong publication record in premier venues (e.g., IACR conferences, STOC, FOCS, ACM CCS, IEEE S&P) or journals such as the IACR Journal of Cryptology is expected.
