The Opportunity:
The School of GeoSciences is seeking a Communications Manager to join the Marketing, Recruitment and Communications team. This is a leading role within the School for the promotion of our research expertise and related activities to external audiences.
The role offers breadth, both in the discipline of the School, with research areas spanning the social sciences, humanities, and sciences, but also in the variety of projects.
The post holder will have responsibility for the design and implementation of the School’s research communications strategy, as well as supporting communications associated with knowledge exchange, impact and the School’s work with external organisations. As the key communications contact, the post holder will proactively engage with, advise and support both internal and external stakeholders.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Informal enquiries may be directed to Grace Sansom, Head of Marketing, Recruitment and Communications (grace.sansom@ed.ac.uk).
