This new full time, fixed term EPSRC-funded post is available from January 2025 to 31st December 2027 in Exeter Innovation (University of Exeter Business School). The role offers the opportunity for hybrid and flexible working spending some time on the Streatham or Penryn Campus.
Summary of the role
We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Project Coordinator to support the delivery of EPSRC funded Digital Innovation and Circular Economy (DICE) Network. The successful candidate will join an exciting, interdisciplinary project that aims to realise a transformative shift in the sustainability and circularity of digital and communication technologies, leveraging the power of the digital revolution to drive a circular economy across sectors and value chains through collaboration, research and technological innovation.
The DICE Network team consists of world leading interdisciplinary researchers working at the interface of Circular Economy, Digital Technology, Materials Science and ICT, from the Universities of Exeter, Sheffield, Salford, Swansea, Southampton, Surrey, Nottingham, Queens University Belfast, and the Open University.
The Network Coordinator will play a key role in the success of the DICE Network which operates within the Exeter Centre for the Circular Economy (ECCE) in the University of Exeter’s Business School. They will work closely with the DICE Network Manager to support the Principal Investigator, Professor Fiona Charnley, collaborating with the Research & Impact Fellow and multiple academic, industry and government stakeholders as part of the Network.
As a key member of the Network team, the successful candidate will be involved in activities including the development and delivery of the communication and social media strategy, the Network website and the successful delivery of both face to face and online events, involving multiple stakeholders. They will contribute to the daily delivery and reporting of Network activities, including organising meetings and diary management, managing communication requirements between multiple stakeholders, supporting team members, managing the Network database and documenting monitoring and evaluation milestones. The Project Coordinator will liaise with DICE Network members, national and international partners, the media and the public, along with university colleagues including relevant Clusters and teams in Exeter Innovation to help support the DICE Network.
In this role, the successful candidate will bring a professional and confident approach to their work, being highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and a demonstrated high standard of communication (written and verbal), IT and administrative skills. They will be comfortable working independently across the distributed team bringing a proactive approach and willingness to learn.
