Join our enthusiastic team of technicians and take ownership of the Physical Computing Lab, where we support teaching and research of electronics and code within an art and design context.
It will be your responsibility to manage and maintain the lab. You will keep it safe, stocked, and ready to support our world-class research-intensive institute.
Throughout the week, you will need to balance your time between technical tutorials, lab maintenance, admin, procurement, and technical skills workshops for students and staff.
You will also be heavily involved in supporting students as they prepare their work for submission and exhibit at our termly festivals, interim shows and other events.
About you
You will have deep technical experience supporting people in creative uses of electronics tools and processes, such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, breadboard prototyping, EDA, PCB prototyping, and design of electronic circuits.
You will work alongside other technicians and academics within the institute to ensure students are trained in the safe, innovative and professional use of technical resources.
You will be a creative and motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a team and contribute towards developing an inclusive technical environment in line with CCI’s Social Mission.
