Position Overview: 

At Coventry University Kazakhstan, the MBA Course Leader is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the MBA programme to ensure high-quality teaching, student satisfaction, and academic excellence. This role involves overseeing the design, delivery, and assessment of the MBA curriculum, providing academic leadership to staff and students, and maintaining strong industry relationships to enhance the programme’s relevance and employability outcomes. The person will also deliver lectures to MBA students at the university, providing clear, engaging lessons that help them understand key business concepts and apply them in real-world situations. The MBA Course Leader will ensure the programme meets accreditation standards and aligns with the institution's mission, values, and strategic goals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the MBA programme, ensuring its academic quality and relevance.
  • Aligning with Coventry University London’s policies and procedures, monitor student feedback and achievement data, using the insights to enhance the programme.
  • Develop and continuously improve the MBA curriculum to reflect industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
  • Coordinate and mentor academic staff involved in the MBA programme, fostering a collaborative and high-performance teaching team.
  • Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of teaching methods, ensuring a student-centred approach.
  • Lead the assessment process, including setting and moderating assessments, marking, and providing feedback.
  • Act as a key contact for MBA students, offering academic guidance, pastoral care, and career advice.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, alumni, and professional bodies to enhance programme content, networking opportunities, and employability outcomes.
  • Represent the university at external events, conferences, and professional forums, promoting the MBA programme.
  • Lead the preparation of programme reviews, audits, and accreditation processes, including gathering evidence and writing reports.
  • Monitor student feedback and performance data, using insights to improve the programme.
  • Work closely with marketing and admissions teams to promote the MBA programme and achieve recruitment targets.
  • Identify new trends in business education and recommend updates or new offerings that align with market demands and university goals.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • A PhD or Doctorate in Business, Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in teaching and leading postgraduate business programmes, ideally MBA level.
  • Proven track record in academic leadership and administration.
  • Evidence of industry engagement and partnerships.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to inspire and develop academic staff.
  • Demonstrable experience in curriculum design, academic quality assurance, and programme evaluation.
