Science and Funding Manager (Cancer)

Full time: 35 hours per week

Open ended: permanent 

The Opportunity: 

Join our dynamic team as a Science and Funding Manager, and coordinate and manage innovative research projects, drive strategic funding initiatives, and collaborate with leading experts to support our scientific discovery and translation, with a focus on cancer. 

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns.  We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.   

The salary for this post is £49,250 to £60,321 per annum. 

Your skills and attributes for success:

• Degree or postgraduate level qualification in biomedical science, or equivalent experience
• Understanding of the UK and international funding landscape, including experience in the preparation and management of major funding bids
• Demonstrable experience of project and programme management and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Demonstrable experience of influencing teams / stakeholders to accomplish a project or objective
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills and ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
