Faculty / Directorate
This is a really exciting time to be joining DMU. The People Services team has been through a period of change and we have several new roles available to support advancing our ambitious Empowering University strategy. Being part of a thriving and energetic team, you would join our new directorate and help us to deliver a key pillar of our university strategy, ‘Empowering People’. Our role is to enhance our employee offer about leadership and management, reward and recognition, voice and experience, health and wellbeing, and to ensure our policies, processes and systems enable digital solutions, swift decision making, equal access and autonomy.
Role
As a Global Mobility Advisor at De Montfort University, you’ll take a lead role in our People Services response to international and overseas working. Reporting to the Head of People Services Operations, you’ll provide essential guidance and expertise on the complex issues of global mobility, including international tax, social security, and compliance with host-country regulations. This role is integral to our Transnational Education (TNE) strategy, ensuring that DMU’s expanding global presence is supported by safe, compliant, and effective employment practices. You’ll work closely with the University’s International team and new overseas partnerships to coordinate responses to international employment requirements.

You are knowledgeable in global mobility practices and international compliance with a strong background in employment regulations. You have an eye for detail, a strategic mindset, and the ability to communicate complex compliance requirements clearly. You’re proactive, building collaborative relationships across teams while maintaining high standards in compliance and employee support.
Join De Montfort University and be a key player in our global expansion. If you’re ready to bring your expertise to an ambitious international role, we’d love to hear from you.
