Applications are invited for the post of Business Support Administrator within the Accommodation Services Department, part of the wider Student Living team at the University of Nottingham. In this role, you will report to the Business Support Manager and play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient operations while delivering excellent service to students, staff, and stakeholders. 

As a Business Support Administrator, you will be responsible for providing essential administrative and operational support to the Accommodation Services Department. This position requires strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You will be required to work the occasional weekend throughout the year, to support with open days, student arrivals and events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administrative Support: Assisting in the day-to-day administrative tasks that are essential for the effective functioning of the Accommodation Department and the broader Student Living team. You will serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, participate in meetings, and identify areas for process improvement. The role requires acting as the first point of contact across various platforms, including MS Teams, email, live chat, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Finance and Purchasing Support: You will assist in the accurate and timely management of finance and purchasing processes, such as raising invoices, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Compliance: You will play a vital role in ensuring adherence to relevant codes of practice and guidelines, participate in audits, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Customer Service: Acting as the first point of call for all applicants, students, parents, and external agencies, you will provide exemplary customer service to enhance the overall student experience.
