We offer an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Professor and to grow and shape the high-quality research and research-informed teaching within Pharmacy at the University of Reading. The successful candidate will build upon a track record of excellent pharmacy and health services research whilst contributing to high quality teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare programmes. Working within a supportive and diverse professional team, the appointee will engage with research and teaching-related administrative duties, including (but not limited to) module convening, assessment of coursework and examinations, supporting academic tutees, recruitment activities and mentoring of postgraduate and early-career researchers.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
  • A postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. FHEA) or equivalent.
  • A commitment to promoting research and its impact on health services or wider society, securing funding and publishing in top level journals.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Pharmacy and/or clinical practice and the relevant clinical competency requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, promoting equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion.
