About us
The Centre for Outcomes Research and Effectiveness (CORE) in CEHP is seeking a research fellow to join the Public Mental Health Implementation Centre (PMHIC) to support a number of existing research projects. PMHIC is a collaboration with the Royal College of Psychiatrists to support research and training in Public Mental Health. The postholder will support a range of projects including literature reviews, evidence syntheses, and quantitative data analyses for projects related to public health interventions and evaluations.
About the role
The Research Fellow will support the development of reports and will carry out analytic and evaluative projects led by PMHIC. This includes literature reviews, meta-analyses, evidence syntheses, and designing and analysing epidemiological studies. The post holder will benefit from an understanding of clinical and public health care systems. There will also be opportunities to lead small research and policy development projects, and to collaborate with partners in government, healthcare, academia and third sector organisations.
About you
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject and understanding of mental health conditions, including measurement and treatments of these conditions. Also essential is experience of presenting research findings to a broad audience, and demonstrated understanding of epidemiologic and public health research methods. The successful candidate will also need a good understanding of reviewing using systematic search methods and good interpersonal and collaborative skills in work within a multiprofessional team including students, patients and public members.
