The Private University of Business and Technology (PHWT) Vechta / Diepholz, invites applications for a
Professorship in Business Informatics (M/F/D)
We expect a deepened focus on at least two of the following fields:
PHWT is a recognized university of applied sciences in Lower Saxony, Germany with a campus in Vechta and in Diepholz. We offer dual degree programs (bachelor’s degree with integrated apprenticeships), for which the university cooperates with roughly 200 companies from the wider region. Students alternate from 12 weeks at university for their academic studies to roughly 10 weeks with the company.
Suitable candidates will hold a relevant PhD, ideally have at least three years of professional experience outside of university, ideally with or in industry and a relevant publication list. The holder of the professorship is expected to offer lectures in a range of areas in business informatics, engage in research, participate actively in the university’s academic self-administration and collaborate with partnering companies (including research). Appointments are subject to § 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act. Please contact Prof. Dr. Torsten Becker for further details or about the selection process under E-Mail: becker@phwt.de.
This is a permanent position for which we do expect proximity to campus. Salary is in the range of W2 and subject to experience. Although German dominates as language of tuition, lectures in fluent English are possible and candidates that are prepared to learn German are encouraged to apply. Please send your application with meaningful documents, indication of fields you focus on and your list of publications by mail and as one single PDF to the President, Prof. Dr. Dennis De, praesidium@phwt.de by latest January 3rd 2025. Further information about our university can be found under www.phwt.de.
