The post holder will supervise housing law cases, assist in the training, mentoring and personal development of Law Clinic students, teach law to students and be involved in the management and development of the Clinic.
FTE: 0.5 (17.5 hours/week)
Term: Fixed Term (30/11/2027)
The award-winning and highly successful University of Strathclyde Law Clinic is looking for a capable and committed lawyer to supervise and train students to provide free legal advice and representation to members of the community who cannot afford a solicitor but who do not qualify for legal aid.
The postholder will work in the Housing Dispute Resolution Project and will work on housing cases involving the private rented sector.
The successful applicant must be qualified as a Scottish solicitor and will have relevant legal practice experience, ideally in a litigation role in private rented sector housing law, and good inter-personal and communication skills, an ability to teach and mentor students and a passion for enhancing access to justice.
