In recent years we have established a number of partnerships with UK and International institutions to extend access to a Ravensbourne educational experience.
At Ravensbourne we are seeking an interim Head of Academic Partnerships to lead on our work with franchise and validation partner institutions.
The Role
Reporting the Dean the Interim Head of Academic Partnerships will lead a team of link tutors and oversee and assure the quality of the student educational experience in and with our franchise and validation partner institutions. Through validation, monitoring and engagement meetings, staff development, quality review, and other activities, you will be directly responsible for the alignment of performance in the host academic partners with the RUL academic department and course level provision.
You will also support the partner institutions in their development and implementation of Access and Participation Plans to match the performance expectations of the university with regards to improvement the equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed in and progress from higher education. The role additionally has responsibility for oversight of partner courses delivered within the university’s campus or in shared delivery courses both internally and externally.
The Candidate
You have a higher degree, an understanding of working closely with other senior staff to drive initiatives, and experience of working with collaborative partners (ideally in both domestic and overseas) in a HE setting.
You have a proven track record of building and maintaining strong and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and should have knowledge of managing risks associated with partnerships work.
You have experience of chairing committees and contributing to effective governance of partnerships work with knowledge of quality assurance processes in HE, combined with an awareness of recent sector developments which are likely to impact on collaborative partnerships (e.g. B3 OfS Metrics).

This role is offered as a fixed term contract for six months.
