The School of Health and Social Care is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Vascular Scientist to support the development of the BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science (Vascular Science) programme.
The innovative curricula have been co-produced and designed with key stakeholders to develop Practitioner Level Vascular Science roles of the future. This post offers an exciting opportunity for you to be involved in moving the School of Health and Social Care forward with its strategic plan to deliver a sustainable health and social care workforce for Gloucestershire and beyond in collaboration with strategic healthcare partners.
The Vascular Science programme is the Universities second Healthcare Science development. Over the coming years, our vision is to expand our existing Healthcare Science programme portfolio with a view to build a community of courses that meets the growing Education and Training needs of the Healthcare Science workforce.
We would welcome applications from any Vascular Science specialist looking to further their careers with a move into an academic role and also existing academic staff with a proven track record of education within the Vascular Science specialty.
If you have clinical experience in Vascular Science, and a proven interest in the delivery of high-quality education (at undergraduate/postgraduate level), we would be very keen to hear from you.
You must have professional registration with The Society for Vascular Technologists, or equivalent, and hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant Healthcare Science discipline, or equivalent to be considered.
As an academic you will be expectedto have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. However, if moving from practice, you will be supported to complete the University of Gloucestershire’s Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice at a timescale to be agreed at appraisal. There is a clear expectation that the post holder engages in the staff development programme provided.
The role is based on our site at Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester but distanced applicants will be considered. The role holder may be required to work at any university site or any other reasonable location where the university is undertaking its business.
