The University invites applications for the above full-time post which is available immediately. We are seeking outstanding applicants with an established record in Applied Control and Control Systems Design.
You will lead a vibrant research programme with a particular focus on Applied Control and Control Systems Design. Your research needs to be focussed on advanced control applications, while ideally being informed by a control theoretical understanding. These advanced control applications can be complementary to existing control applications in the CSR group. Your research needs to be fundable by national, e.g. UKRI, or international funders, e.g. Horizon. You will contribute to both the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes, namely the group’s own MSc in Advanced Control and Systems Engineering and relevant Undergraduate (UG) programmes of the department.
You will provide support to the administration of the Department, the School and/or the Faculty as appropriate.
The balance of teaching and research responsibilities will be varied by line management from time-to-time based on operational needs.
What you will get in return:
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
