Study Abroad, a division of Boston University Global Programs, is responsible for developing and providing opportuni5es for undergraduate study around the world. BU Study Abroad offers students from Boston University and over 100 other colleges and universi5es 200+ programs, 30+ cities, and 20+ countries. Boston University was one of the first universities in the United States to send students abroad, and the first university to offer study abroad internship opportunities on several continents.

Role Outline
Boston University Study Abroad London is seeking a lecturer to teach an Internship Seminar course on the Marketing track during the Spring 2025 London Internship Programme for Boston University study abroad students.
The course has 10 hours of contact time delivered in 5 sessions. Internship Seminar dates for the course are as follows: First session 28th-30th January, Second session 11th-13th February, Third session 4th-6th March, Fourth session 25th – 27th March, Fifth session 16th April/
Teaching times vary depending on the session – the first two sessions will be taught from 5.45pm-7.45pm, and the remaining sessions will typically be taught in morning or afternoon slots.
This is a temporary appointment with the potential to be renewed.

Description
The BU London internship experience offers students an opportunity to apply their academic learning in a professional environment and aims to prepare them for the world of work by enhancing transferrable skills (e.g. in communication, time management and professional networking).
The internship seminar reflects on the students’ experience at the placement and focuses on four key aspects: experiential learning, academic track content, learning and development theory, and the Individual in Community skill set of Boston University's General Education curriculum.
Students benefit from gaining an insight into a diverse work culture at their placement and through peer learning within their internship seminar group.
Classes will be delivered in person.
Required Skills
The successful candidate will be a highly competent lecturer with both significant professional and teaching experience in Marketing. They will hold a minimum of a Master’s degree, preferably a PhD, in a relevant discipline. Applicants should demonstrate excellent crosscultural communication skills and experience in teaching undergraduate students, preferably including American & international students.
