London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Applied Science Laboratory Assistant.
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work with a team of professional technicians who support all courses in the School of Applied Sciences, including Biomedical Science, Forensic Science and Pharmaceutical Science.
You will be involved in varied daily tasks that may include preparing solutions and equipment, setting up practicals, assisting with stock orders, maintaining the cleanliness of laboratories. You will be learning from an expert technical team and will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and experience in areas of interest to you. You will also be gaining experience and insight into the operations of the entire facility, getting to know a wide cross section of our academic and technical activities.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
The ideal candidate will have a science qualification either at degree, HND or a minimum L3. Experience with operating an autoclave is also highly desirable. To be successful as the Applied Science Laboratory Assistant you will need to have an investigative mind and keen to have a career in science. You will also have a positive and ‘can do’ attitude to work.
