The Faculty of Architecture and History of Art are seeking a Project Administrator to co-ordinate and support the efficient running of research projects within the Faculty in order to ensure their smooth running. This role will be part time (0.6 FTE) and fixed term until 31 December 2025.

Grants in the Faculty are diverse and work will range from liaising with a team on the Public Map Platform on the Isle of Anglesey, helping to administer a research project looking at an in-orbit demonstration of a large deployable telescope and supporting the finances of a Centre for the Study of Classical Architecture.

Some of the main responsibilities of the role holder will include the following:

  • Forecasting project spending
  • Liaising with research teams and external institutions
  • Assisting in procurement linked to research
  • Arranging payment of expenses and invoices, which may include setting up new suppliers to the University
  • Journalling costs to and from research grants and ensuring that financial reporting is accurate
  • Participating in audits and research reports
  • Confirming funder requirements

Research Culture within the Faculty is vibrant and collaborative, and the post-holder will be able to share ideas and support cutting edge research in two REF units of assessment.

With the opportunity to work both pre-award and post-award, with a particular focus on grant finance, this post sits within the wider Professional Services team and benefits from access to School of Arts and Humanities research support networks.

The Faculty is committed to flexibility in working, and this role could be undertaken, in part, remotely, although it is anticipated that the role holder would attend the Faculty upon request, especially during any probationary period.
