About the role
The Student Support and Wellbeing Manager (Mental Health and Wellbeing) provides leadership, management and effective operation of the mental health and wellbeing support provision for UCL students. They are responsible for managing a team of skilled professionals who deliver non-therapeutic support, provide advice and guidance to students and respond to student of concern matters within the UCL community. They work closely with colleagues in Student Support and Wellbeing and across the UCL community to promote an understanding of inclusive practice, disability and wellbeing issues.

About you
Applicants must have substantial knowledge of the Higher Education sector; in particular, of student services management and administration, both undergraduate and graduate and both UK and international. You will have expert knowledge and understanding of SFE and Research Councils and other funding bodies’ Disabled Student Allowance processes as well as a comprehensive knowledge of disability and equality legislation and will be able to demonstrate their commitment to keeping up to date with changes to such legislation.
Applicants must have excellent people management skills combined with excellent interpersonal skills and will be experienced in managing all aspects of the student/client relationship. You must also have both a full understanding of and the ability to demonstrate best practice in safeguarding.
