About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trial Manager to work in the Section of Vascular Surgery at Imperial College London.

The post holder will manage a British Heart Foundation (BHF) Global Cardiovascular Research funded project. This project is an international multi-centred randomised clinical trial within the academic section of surgery portfolio. The Women’s Aneurysm Research: Repair Immediately Or Routine Surveillance (WARRIORS) trial plans to randomise >1000 women with small abdominal aortic aneurysms to receive either surveillance (standard of care) or early endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR)-. This study is sponsored by Imperial College working with closely with the Imperial CTU and University College London for the health economic component. We are the international trial centre as well as being responsible for UK recruitment and retention.  Some international travel will be required. 

What you would be doing:

The post holder will oversee a BHF funded international multi-centred randomised clinical trial. You will be responsible for all aspects of trial management, including close liaison with the Chief Investigator and PIs at other centres, management of the associated study staff and implementing / adapting established systems and processes to ensure the trial is developed and conducted to the highest scientific and regulatory standards. Our role in the study is the recruitment and management of study sites and follow up of patients recruited once out of hospital. What we are looking for:

We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic individual who will be able to hit the ground running. Candidates will be expected to hold a degree and have proven experience of clinical trial/project management and administration. A working knowledge of the current EU Clinical Trials Directive, UK Clinical Trials regulations, Principles of GCP, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Research Governance Framework legislation is essential. Further Information

This post is 100% FTE for 3 years in the first instance, with possibility of extension for a further 6.5 years, depending on performance and trial recruitment. A job share or maximum part-time post could be considered. The post will be supported by a Trial Monitor.
