The role
The Sport, Exercise and Health Division are looking to appoint a 3 day per week Marketing and Communications Officer to join our Marketing and Communications Team for a period of maternity cover (from 13th January 2025 until 28th February 2026). The successful candidate will provide the coordination and development function for the Division in relation to marketing and communications. This will include developing marketing campaigns; designing and delivering promotional materials; developing our online digital and offline in-facility communications activity, both internally and externally across our centrally managed channels and provide feedback on performance; supporting the production and editing of the Division's video content.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will work closely with partners, specifically Bristol SU (Students Union) and the University's External Relations Office to ensure our services, programmes and activities are promoted across the University and beyond. Also, in relation to various University led events, primarily recruitment and conversion events, and the Bristol SU led Welcome Fair. The successful candidate will support other colleagues across the Division in relation to marketing and communications' activities.
The role holder will have a varied portfolio of projects in this busy role, which would include (but is not limited to) supporting our marketing and communications activities for our Bristol Run Series, Bristol Moves+ project, our commercial Tennis programme and Swim School; and our Student Clubs Facilities Matrix and Trailblazers process and programme.
As a member of the Business Development Team, the successful candidate will play an important role in support the income generation for the Division. There is a particular focus on, alongside the Division’s strategic priorities, the promotion of our sports membership offer, facilities, Sports Medicine Clinic, Swim School, and Tennis programme.
