About the Role:
We are looking for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join us at The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying light vehicle maintenance & repair technology and practice on a range of courses and levels.
Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
About you:
Level 3 relevant qualification
Willingness to achieve Certificate in Education or equivalent
Willingness to achieve Assessor/Verifier qualifications
English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
Experience of teaching and assessing on a range of programmes and levels
Knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area
Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
(Trainee Lecturers will be considered for this role however, Salary and Benefits will vary depending on if a Certificate in Education is required)
