The School of Veterinary Medicine are seeking an experienced Educational Technologist to support colleagues with harnessing educational technologies to promote innovative, active learning pedagogies.

As part of our Digital Education Team this role will provide expert guidance on educational technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and the overall student experience across online, blended, and on-campus learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

 This role will specifically advocate for approaches such as team-based learning, authentic learning, gamification, and reflective portfolios, promoting their effective implementation across the school. As well as serving as the lead for school specific platforms such as PebblePad and LAMS; ensuring their successful integration and use throughout the school.

This role will lead on various projects, providing an opportunity to contribute significantly to the enhancement of the teaching and learning experience for both staff and students within the school.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrable and proven experience in supporting the use of technology in education to support innovative and active learning pedagogies.
  • Experienced in conducting workshops and developing resources to support the adoption of educational technologies for both staff and students.
  • Passionate about active and collaborative learning and able to inspire others with energy, confidence, and enthusiasm.
  • Effective communication and time management skills, the ability to collaborate and engage with multiple projects.
