About the Role
For informal enquiries, please contact Lizzie Vinton (Head of Curriculum Management) at lizzie.vinton@warwick.ac.uk.
The University of Warwick has recently agreed a new Education & Student Experience Strategy 2030 which aims to ensure an excellent educational experience for our students, and to consolidate and enhance our existing strengths in teaching and learning. In order to achieve these aims, the University is establishing a new end-to-end Curriculum Management capability which will support academic departments to create and maintain excellent courses and modules.
Located in the Education Policy & Quality team, this new capability will be responsible for all aspects of Curriculum Management from academic policy and quality assurance to data quality and systems support. The Curriculum Data Advisor will provide expert data advice, analyse course and module data, support the enhancement of curriculum data quality across the University, and provide users with effective support for the new Curriculum Management System. The post-holder will also have opportunities to influence the design of the Single Source of Truth for curriculum data, and feed into the development of new policies, workflows and processes.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
You will have a good educational background, with a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent experience, as well as experience in using Student Records Systems (such as SITS), curriculum management systems and standard desktop applications. You will have project management experience, with an ability to problem-solve, identify effective solutions and produce outputs/reports to support data-informed decision making. Data literacy, proven skills in data analysis, and excellent attention to detail will be essential for this role. You will also have good oral and written communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, the ability to work as a member of a team, the ability to work under pressure and the ability to prioritise effectively.
