The University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint a Clinical Lecturer in Hepatology, with an honorary clinical position at Liverpool University Hospitals Foundations Trust (LUFHT), based at Aintree University Hospital within the Gastroenterology Directorate. This 50:50 Clinical Academic post is being established to support and expand research into Hepatology, with a particular emphasis on metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), to address the burden of this disease in the region, the University’s strategic priorities and expertise within the academic department.
The candidate would be able to complete training in gastroenterology, hepatology and GIM achieving CCT, alongside their academic training to enable the candidate to become an independent researcher.
This post is fixed term for 3 -4 years.
Supervision will be provided by Professor Dan Cuthbertson (Academic) and Dr Nick Stern (Clinical).
