A position exists, for a Research Assistant/Associate in the Department of Engineering, to work on Nanosheet Transistors and Circuits.
The post holder will be located in West Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK. The role holder will be required to have practical experience in nanosheet transistor design and fabrication as well as a good understanding of typical architectures and operation modes.
They should have expertise in thin film gate dielectrics, work-function optimisation for electrodes and channel materials and proven expertise in detailed thin-film transistor characterisation and analysis. They should have hands-on experience in solution phase nanosheet production (preferably via electrochemical exfoliation), and expertise in thin film deposition and patterning techniques. In addition, they should have experience in digital and analogue circuit designs and analysis relevant to sensor readout circuits, an understanding of device layout strategies and design rules and performance requirements for transistors and circuits onto flexible and rigid substates. It is desirable that the candidates are able to measure and analyse circuit outputs, have sound knowledge in statistical analysis of circuit output and have experience with device and circuit failure analysis.
The role holder will work with Professor Tawfique Hasan at the NanoEngineering Group at the Cambridge Graphene Centre, and will closely collaborate with teams from Strasbourg University (Professor Paolo Samori), Trinity College Dublin (Professor Jonathan Coleman), University of Antwerp (Professor Sara Bals), University of Mon (Professor David Beljonne) and mSemicon Teoranta (Ciarán Ó Bréartúin).
