Permanent academic role subject to 5 years academic probation.
The successful candidate will contribute to the formation of cross-departmental team of interdisciplinary scientists working on ‘cellular interfaces’. This is an excellence cluster that expands, diversifies and leverages the activities of the Centre for Mechanochemical Cell Biology (CMCB). CMCB is a pre-eminent centre in the UK that already researches the roles of molecular motors, mechanics in cell and developmental biology (https://mechanochemistry.org/). The cellular interfaces cluster is led by Professor Satyajit Mayor, a world-leading researcher who has made fundamental contributions towards our understanding of how the cell membrane is organised at a nanometer scale and how this impacts cell and tissue scale biology.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
