An opportunity has arisen to join our Advanced Practice Team, enabling experienced healthcare professionals to contribute to the support and education of Apprentices related to the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) Apprenticeship programme. This position would suit people wishing to sample applied higher education and Apprenticeships, to see if they wish to continue their career in a teaching and assessment role; secondment applicants welcome subject to employer approval. The role would suit experienced practitioners familiar with advanced practice currently working in Band 6 or above positions.
You should be a registrant with the HCPC or NMC and have a track record of current practice experience in an advanced clinical practice role. You should hold a Master’s degree in a health-related subject or evidence of working toward a Masters qualification. You should have experience of teaching learners in the practice setting and evidence of ongoing continuous professional development. You should have the necessary skills to work as part of a team and the capacity to be flexible and intuitive to the needs of learners. The post is available on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work more than 50% on campus. Lectures will take place face to face there is no online learning.
