The University of Cambridge's Department of Medicine is the largest department under the School of Clinical Medicine, dedicated to impactful research and education in human health and disease. With over 420 staff, 130 students, and numerous visiting researchers, our department is based across several cutting-edge facilities within the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR/ Postgraduate Assistant to join our friendly Professional Service team. The position is available on a full-time, fixed term basis. The role holder reports to the Senior HR Coordinator.
In this role, you will manage key administrative processes related to visitors, student stipends, and access requests. You will collaborate with department staff, including senior academics and external researchers, ensuring efficient service across all HR and postgraduate administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a busy team, fostering good working relationships, both internal and external to the University. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a detail-oriented approach are essential. Experience in a similar HR or academic administrative setting is highly desirable, along with the desire to learn and develop further skills in this area.
