Senior Lecturer in Business Management

About the Post
The posts have been created because of the expansion of the postgraduate (PG) Business courses at the University of Suffolk. Working primarily within our International Business Management (IBM) programme. The post-holder will work with colleagues to deliver our international postgraduate programmes, whilst acting as a dissertation supervisor.
About the Team
The business subject area is going through a period of rapid growth of our postgraduate programmes and requires additional resources. Although the team is small currently, we expect to see resources grow alongside the growth of several programmes. Collaboration is the key to our success with most staff involved in teaching across programmes, working with colleagues in other schools or departments and engaging with professional practice, knowledge exchange and research.
About You
You will have a background with experience in teaching and developing the postgraduate portfolio. Specialisation in areas such as International Business, International Marketing, Change Management, Decision Making, or Managing People Effectively is highly desirable. Dissertation supervision is also important to this role and experience in supervising postgraduate dissertations, guiding students through the research process, and ensuring high academic standards. Finally, experience as a course leader or module leadership for postgraduate programs would be advantageous, showcasing the ability to coordinate courses, develop curriculums, and manage program logistics.

Course Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate postgraduate courses, including managing academic staff and resources effectively.
Research and Professional Practice: Active involvement in research, knowledge exchange, or industry practice to enhance teaching quality and keep course content relevant and impactful.
