About the Role:
We are looking for a Lecturer in Engineering to join us at The Bedford Sixth Form. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject units on a range of courses including Level 3 and HNC/D with a focus on either Electronics or Automation
Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential
Managing students’ learning and providing a high quality learning experience
Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities
About you:
HNC/D in a relevant Engineering discipline or extensive industrial experience
Certificate in Education/PGCE or willingness to achieve
English and mathematics at GCSE grade A*-C or equivalent
Experience in an Engineering company in either an automation or electronics specialism
Knowledge and experience of a variety of Engineering subjects to include Automation and/or Electrical/Electronic engineering
Strong knowledge of either robotics, PLCs or electronics
Confident in practical tuition of either robotics, PLCs or electronics
Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
